akpeac's popular Animals photos

Born and raised in Anchorage, I've been lucky to have been able to share my life in one way or another with birds. I spent my college days at Washington State University where I received my Bachelor of Science. Being passionate about the plight of companion parrots, I started the Anchorage chapter of Parrot Education & Adoption Center ( PEAC ) in June 2002. In 2005 I joined the organization International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and in 2006 I obtained Certified status as a Parrot Behavior Consultant. When not on parrot duty, I work as an IT administrator and paralegal for a local law firm.

I owe many thanks to fellow smugmugger John Gomes - for camera/lens advice, photography tips and inspiration, and so much more. Please stop by and check out John's photos (it's definitely worth your time!)

Any skill I seem to develop over the years is likely the result of taking classes from Johnathon Green of Starlight Studio in Anchorage. Unfortunately for us, Johnathon recently purchased a photography studio on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Check him out if you're there! Email him here

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to Email me
